Where do we go from here?
There’s really only one way to go, and that’s up.
The Ticats are back home after a humiliating 37-0 loss in Saskatchewan.
Its the first time Hamilton has been held off the scoreboard since 2006, and the CFL’s first regular season shutout since the Riders manhandled the Blue Bombers 52-0 last year.
Cats coaches and players are frustrated, agitated and embarrassed.
You don’t want to get blanked in the CFL.
So, what’s going to be different this Saturday when these two teams hook up for the rematch?
The 4-and-0 Riders are ultra confident, knowing that they’re playing some great football in all three phases.
The confidence of the 1-and-3 Cats has certainly taken a hit.
So Hamilton must, absolutely must, come out like a team on fire… hitting on all cylinders on Saturday.
They have to be more physical, they have to make the big play or big stop, and they can’t turn the ball over.
They also have to get healthy in a hurry and figure out a lineup that works and that they can stick with.
If they don’t, a 1-and-4 start to the season… as bad as it sounds… is a real possibility.
