The parents of a Hamilton man have publicly thanked the city’s police service for their work in solving their son’s murder.
Investigators confirmed two weeks ago that Daniel Baffoh’s remains had been found at Lake Niapenco in the Binbrook Conservation Area.
The 26 year old had last been seen alive in late January , leaving his family’s home on the west mountain.
His mother, Abene Baffoh says it hasn’t been easy, but the support from police and the Ghanian community during the search for Daniel has been appreciated.
Family friend Victor Boahene adds that they acknowledge all of the resources that have been brought to bear, noting that they have some closure now and the healing can begin.
The case is before the courts with Hamilton’s Mark Langille facing a first degree murder charge. His son, Damian, is charged with being an accessory after the fact. Police have said that the victim and accused were known to each other.
