For the third time this month, Hamilton firefighters were called to Albion Falls to perform a rope rescue.
A man walking near the falls called for help from his cell phone at about 3:15 Thursday afternoon when he realized he couldn’t safely climb up or down.
As many as 20 firefighters responded and anchored themselves on higher ground while two were lowered to where the man was.
The man was OK and lifted to safety.
About two weeks ago, a 10 year old boy fell several metres and landed on some rocks and was taken to hospital after being rescued by emergency crews.
Since then, council has been looking at ways to alert visitors to the dangers, which could include signage or roped off areas.
