It was a close call for a Hamilton woman who went into labour early this morning.
Hamilton police were dispatched to a home on Henry Street just after 3:30 for a call about a woman whose contractions were two minutes apart.
Minutes after the officers arrived, they successfully delivered the baby.
Police say the baby was crying and appeared to be in good health when paramedics and the woman’s midwife arrived to take over.
Mother and baby were taken to hospital where they’re said to be doing well.
