Around the clock security cameras are coming soon to the apartment building that was the scene of the fatal shooting last Friday morning.
But they won’t come cheap.
CityHousing Hamilton was suppose to have the security cameras in place and monitored a month ago, but the tenders came back at double the budget.
The apartment towers at Hess Street South and Jackson West, as well as a complex on Park Street South, will have surveillance cameras by next month.
The installation of over 300 cameras will cost almost 650-thousand dollars and monitoring will cost 11-thousand dollars a month.
95 Hess Street South is where a 21-year-old Mississauga man was shot last Friday morning and he died of blood loss.
One man has been charged with second degree murder and police are still looking for a second suspect.
