Hamilton Police are investigating after 150 thousand dollars worth of high end watches were stolen from a jewellery store in Limeridge Mall.
It happened at about 7:30 on Wednesday night, when one suspect brazenly walked behind a display counter, forced it open with a pry bar and transferred the watches into a blue recycling box while a second suspect waited outside.
The suspects then fled after being confronted by staff, entered a rear maintenance area for mall employees, placed the merchandise into the trunk of a vehicle and drove away.
Both suspects were wearing orange construction vests at the time. One is described as a black male about six feet tall, the other a white male about 5’8′, both of thin build.
The vehicle, described only as a Mazda, was last seen at Stonechurch and Upper Sherman.
