The final funding for McMaster University’s newest facility is now in place.
Canadian-based engineering giant Hatch Ltd. has donated 3-million dollars to McMaster’s Engineering Centre for Experiential Learning.
The so-called ExCEL centre will be named after founder Gerald Hatch.
Mac students have committed 2-million dollars to the project and will help design the facility, which school officials say will improve the experience and education for all engineering students.
Construction is expected to begin in the spring of 2015 and be completed by the summer of 2016.
