Ancaster Councillor Lloyd Ferguson now has a confirmed seat on the Hamilton Police Servcies Board, but not the one he expected to get.
He’s been selected as the replacement for Hamilton Mayor Bob Bratina, who resigned citing conflicts in his role as Mayor and Police Services Board chair.
Ferguson was first put on the board to fill the vacancy left by Terry Whitehead, who is the focus of an Ontario Civilian Police Commission investigation.
It’s alleged he violated the code of conduct in accusations he made against the Police Chief.
Ferguson says that investigation is almost complete, so it’s unlikely the board will move to fill that vacancy at this time.
