So you’re on an oil platform in the middle of the deserted Arctic and all of sudden your under attack.
You’re trying to defend the platform while people are trying to scale the rig and come on board.
What do you?
You call in the army to help defend against the attack.
That’s exactly what the Russians did and what most countries would do, including Canada, if someone was scaling the side of your oil rig and you didn’t know their intentions.
Yesterday a Russian court jailed the crew of a Greenpeace boat including 2 Canadians and are holding them until they figure out if they are going to charge them with piracy.
A Greenpeace fluff head said, “The Russian authorities are trying to scare people who stand up to the oil industry but this blatant intimidation will not succeed.
You tried to storm a communist oil rig and climb up the side….Who’s trying to intimidate here?
And yes you are scared, and should be, because now you’re crying to the Canadian government for help.
You’re messing with Russia, in an era of terrorism. How stupid are you?
I guess just as stupid as the people who now have to spend their time, energy and money to get you out.
Just because you have Greenpeace painted on your boat does not mean you’re above international law.
Enjoy your stay in Russia comrades, see you when you get out, someday.
