Now that the two former executives of SISO have been sentenced for fraud, there comes the question of paying the creditors of the now defunct immigrant agency.
The trustee, KPMG, says there is not enough money left to pay all the creditors.
The debts total more than 2-million dollars, but there is only about 230-thousand dollars in the bankruptcy pot.
During Monday’s sentencing, Judge James Ramsay didn’t impose a restitution order; something that has confused former staffers who have been left without jobs or severance for two years.
The fraud totaled almost 3-million dollars, and while the RCMP says some of the money has been recovered, part of it may never surface.
