Stay away from certain Compliments brand Super 8 Beef Burgers.
They may be contaminated with E. coli O157:H7.
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency says some people have become sick after eating the burgers and the recall may be expanded as their investigation continues.
The burgers were distributed in Sobeys banner stores in Ontario and the Maritimes.
The burgers, made by made by Belmont Meats of Toronto, might also be in Foodland, FreshCo and Price Chopper stores.
The eight-ounce burgers are sold frozen in packages of six with a UPC code of 0 55742 37055 3.
Food contaminated with E. coli O157:H7 may not look or smell spoiled, but may cause serious and potentially life-threatening illnesses.
You are also being warned to stay away from Halloween candy that may contain harmful pieces of metal.
The CFIA is asking the public not to eat individually wrapped Original Brand Original Halloween Kiss candies.
The agency says the product, made by the Quebec division of Original Foods, was sold in bulk at locations across Canada.
Retail-sized packages are not affected by the recall.
If you’re unsure if you have the affected product, you should check with the store you purchased it from.
There have been no reported injuries linked to eating the candies.
