The 2-3 Mac Marauders take on the 1-4 Waterloo Warriors Saturday at Ron Joyce Stadium, in the Marauders homecoming game.
They’re back on the field after a bye week. They remain ranked number 9 in the nation.
There should be no line-up changes for McMaster after their last game, a heart-breaking 24-22 loss at Guelph.
Quarterback Marshall Ferguson will try and get back on track after throwing two key interceptions at Guelph, both leading to touchdowns.
The Marauders have the worst turnover ratio in the OUA at -11, while Waterloo is at plus one.
To help Ferguson be more successful, the Marauders have to get more production in their running game.
Currently, they average just 99 yards in rushing per game; only Carlton has less. By comparison, Western leads the OUA in yards rushing per game; 260.
Waterloo opened the season with two losses, 78-11 to Windsor and 44-32 to Ottawa. They beat Carlton 47-8, before losing to Laurier and Guelph.
The Warriors are averaging 23 points a game but have allowed an average 42 points a game.
Their offence is led by fourth-year receiver Nick Anapolsky. He has 41 catches for 403 yards and 2 touchdowns. His receiving yards are almost double what the next Waterloo receiver has.
The game is a sell-out.
CHML broadcast time is 1 o ‘clock.
