About 50 people converged at Dundurn Castle today to protest Enbridge’s controversial proposal to reverse the flow of its southern Ontario and Quebec pipeline.
The issue will be the focus of National Energy Board hearings this week.
Enbridge denies the claims of opponents who fear the company plans to run a more corrosive kind of oil through Line 9 that will increase the risk of a leak.
Hamilton’s Danielle Boissoneau says Enbridge has been vague when questioned about the potential of spills.
Enbridge wants to reverse the flow to bring lower priced oil from western Canada to replace foreign oil.
