OPP believe the motorcyclist who died in a crash on the 403 in Ancaster this morning was run over.
Sergeant Dave Woodford tells CHML News, it appears the man on the motorcycle lost control of his bike, fell off, and was then run over by one or more vehicles.
It happened just before 8 o’clock this morning.
Woodford says it looks like the driver lost control after making a lane change.
He’s asking witnesses to call the Burlington detachment of the OPP with any information.
It’s unknown if speed or alcohol are factors, but Woodford believes this morning’s fog was not a factor in the crash.
There are no details on the victim’s name, age or hometown.
The west bound 403 remains closed from Aberdeen to the Linc.
The incident has also created a major backlog on the east bound 403 as well as many in town routes, such as Main and King streets.
