It’s a blank sheet.
The only question is, what kind of story will the Hamilton Bulldogs write this season.
The regular season begins tonight for the Dogs, with a game against the St. John’s IceCaps at Copps Coliseum.
Tomorrow night, the Bulldogs will take on the defending Calder Cup champion Grand Rapids Griffins.
If you haven’t been to a Bulldogs game in a while, tonight’s will be a good one to go to, especially with the addition of the pre-game street party outside Copps.
Last year, the Dogs didn’t get the job done.
You can blame the effect of the lockout, injuries, call ups, all that kind of stuff.
At the end of the year, Hamilton was last overall in the American Hockey League.
It was a disappointing season on the ice, yet in the stands, the Dogs made strides.
And with what should be a better squad this season, bigger strides will continue to be made.
The team wants to sell out the lower bowl of every game by the time they reach their 20th anniversary season in a couple of years.
It is an ambitious goal, and one that is attainable in a city of this size.
