The blockade of Highway 6 in Caledonia, in sympathy with the First Nations protesting fracking in New Brunswick, may just be the beginning.
One of the Six Nations protestors says they will be back if there is another flare up between the Mounties and natives on the East Coast.
And if the blockade goes up again, he tells the Hamilton Spectator it won’t be coming down for a long time.
Highway 6 near the bypass was blocked Thursday afternoon for about four hours after word of a clash between the New Brunswick protestors and police.
The group says it notified the OPP in advance of the blockade.
