The Hamilton Bulldogs have lost their second game in row.
The Dogs on the losing side of a 3-2 shootout loss to the Lake Erie Monsters.
It took til the last couple minutes of the first period for the Monsters to open the scoring as Brad Malone scored a power play marker at 18:15. Stollery and Hishon picking up the assists.
Special teams played key in the second period as well as Lake Erie forward Brad Malone would score an unassisted short-handed goal at 7:02.
Despite being heavily outplayed the Dogs were down just 2-0 after 40 minutes of play.
Five minutes into the final period Hamilton would cut the lead in half as Nick Tarnasky slid one into the Lake Erie net. Dumont and Nattinen with the assisits.
The dogs would tie things up just a little after that as Tarnasky scored again. The power play goal coming at 8:18 of the third period with assists going to Nygren and Dumont.
For the second straight game Hamilton would force extra time as 60 minutes was not enough to name a winner.
The overtime period saw the Bulldogs get the only two shots on goal but nothing would be settled there.
In the shootout Hamilton did not score on thier first three attempts while the Monsters scored on three of thier four shots to seal the win on home ice.
