Hamilton’s is poised for continued growth, but improving our transportation network is key.
That from city manager Chris Murray.
He told CHML’s Bill Kelly Show, the fact that we don’t have a system to serve the movement of goods in the western part of the Golden Horseshoe is cause for concern.
Murray points to gridlock on area highways as one example of how the delivery of goods gets bogged down.
Murray says the city must continue its dialogue with the provincial government and stress the importance of a transportation system that supports economic growth.
He says Hamilton is in a good position to grow, given our city’s affordability, low unemployment and diverse workforce.
