Robin Dunbar, professor of Evolutionary Psychology, Department of Experimental Psychology, University of Oxford has revealed what every card carrying male has known for centuries.
Men must physically meet with friends, two times a week, in order to reap the benefits of male friendships.
What are those benefits?
Well I’m glad you asked honey!
They include better general health, faster recovery times when faced with illness and even higher levels of generosity.
In our all too busy lives one in three can’t find the time to even make once a week.
Dunbar says even though technology has kept us in touch with more people we still need quality face time with friends in order to stay healthy, especially when it involves playing sports.
Women will find other ways to stay in touch in a less formal setting, phone calls, tea or texting.
Men are different and now we have the scientific proof.
I asked the prof if it discredited the study any having Guinness Brewery apart of it.
Dunbar insisted no, the study has been going on for ten years.
Guinness is just smart enough to grab an opportunity when they see it and drink the benefits.
So cheers to male bonding!!!
