City council has decided to put up some money if Hamilton wins the bid to host the 2015 Juno Awards.
The city is one of two vying for the right to host the nationally televised music industry awards show and has approved spending 250-thousand dollars.
It’s estimated the host city gets a 12-million dollar economic benefit from the Juno’s.
The winning city should be announced either late next month or in December.
The other city in the running has not been named.
