Former Ontario Liberal finance minister Dwight Duncan appeared before a legislative committee yesterday to talk about his role in the bungled $1 billion gas plant fiasco to buy votes.
When he failed to answer questions directed at him he was accused of going over “old ground.”
He replied, “ This is all old ground, with respect, you’re not even on TV any more for goodness’ sake. You got bumped from your own TV channel,” he told the committee. “Ask me another question, for all 10 people who are watching it.”
Implying no one is interested in listening to what happened in the gas plant decision. And he is problibly right.
No one is interested in listening to another example of the Liberals sucking more money out of Ontario taxpayers. You can only take so much!
But that does not mean they have forgotten about the $1 billion or are willing let it go just because it seems to be a common pattern for this party.
After the taking a beating in the Leg today the Liberal’s pointed out if they are required to pay back the $ 1billion to Ontario taxpayers, perhaps the P.C.’s should do the same and re-in burse us for the 407.
Hey that’s a good idea too! How much have we spent and lost in that deal.
Although some would say having to put up with McGuinty’s Liberals for the last decade has paid that debt off.
I’m not convinced.
