The Hamilton Bulldogs winning streak has come to an end.
Hamilton falling 3-2 to the Toronto Marlies.
The loss is just the second regulation loss for the dogs who are now tied for first in the North Division.
Toronto came out of the gate swinging as they scored just 24 seconds into the game. Jerred Smithson with the goal Percy and Broll with the assists.
The Marlies would go up 2-0 at 8:51 when Greg McKegg scored on the power play from Abbott and Leivo.
After 20 minutes Toronto led Hamilton 2-0
The second period saw very few scoring chances with the Marlies out shooting the Bulldogs 7-5.
In the final frame Nick Tarnasky scored his team leading 5th goal of the season to cut the lead to 2-1.
Shortly after that Jerry D’Amigo scored into the empty net.
And just before time expired Greg Pateryn would add another goal for Hamilton but that is where the comeback would end.
Hamilton now can take a breather as they don’t hit the ice again until Friday night when they host the Marlies at Copps.
