Hamilton mountain residents can expect more than trick or treaters at their door this upcoming Thursday night.
Students from St. Thomas More Secondary School will be fanning out and knocking on doors for their 14th annual Halloween for Hunger food drive.
Last year students raised 74 thousand pounds of food for the Neighbour 2 Neighbour Centre.
Director of Development for Neighbour 2 Neighbour, Doug Farraway says he wouldn’t be surprised if the team surpasses their goal of 76 thousand pounds this year, collecting closer to 80 thousand pounds.
Farraway says the giving nature of Hamiltonians helped solve the baby food crisis earlier this year, so he as no doubt that Halloween for Hunger will be a success.
Neighbour to Neighbour expect to pick up the donations on November 1st.
