Hoops fans rejoice… the NBA regular season tips off tonight.
Opening night is highlighted by a trio of games.
Indiana welcomes Orlando, the Lakers entertain the cross town Clippers, and the Bulls visit the defending champion Miami Heat in tonight’s marquee matchup.
And not only that, Derrick Rose makes his return to the court following an injury filled 2012/13 season.
The Heat are again the odds on favourite to win the NBA title again this season, and rightfully so, they still have the best player on the planet in perennial MVP candidate LeBron James.
But don’t count out the Bulls, Spurs, Clippers and the Pacers.
The rest of the teams, well, good luck.
The Raptors open their season tomorrow night against the rebuilding Boston Celtics.
Toronto, I think, will be a middle of the road club, but they should challenge for a playoff spot come the spring.
A .500 record may not be out of the question for the Dino’s.
If you’re a fans of the Raps, a 1st round playoff appearance is likely the best this team will be able to achieve, but that’s a big improvement over the past few years.
