Mayor Bob Bratina says his office is receiving calls from companies inquiring about the availability of the U.S. Steel site.
This following the announcement that they will permanently stop steel and ironmaking operations.

New Ministry of the Environment regulations hold both companies and their directors personally liable for the environmental clean up.
At this point there is no indication that U.S. Steel plans to sell the site.
