Hamilton Police are looking for a suspicious vehicle after two teenage girls were approached on their way to school.
The first incident happened on Monday morning at about 8:30 when a 17-year-old girl was walking on Queensdale Avenue towards Upper Wentworth. That’s when a blue 4-door vehicle drove up and the male driver began asking her personal questions. He then asked her to get into his car.
The girl felt uncomfortable and walked away.
Then on Tuesday a similar scenario played out at the same time of day when a 16 year old girl was approached, this time by a black 4-door car with tinted windows, in the area of Callie Road and Alderney Avenue.
The man in both incidents is described as black, between 25-30 years old, dark complexion, about 6’0, thin build, black hair, goatee, and wearing blue jeans, a black t-shirt with silver/white “graffiti” lettering and a black leather jacket.
No assault took place in either incident but police are reminding all students to be aware of their surroundings and circumstances.
The Hamilton Police Sexual Assault Unit also continues to investigate a number of assaults and sexual assaults that occurred in the Quigley Road area throughout the month of October.
They don’t believe those assaults to be related to the suspicious vehicle, but police would like to remind the community to be vigilante and report any activity they feel may be suspicious to police immediately.
