The City of Hamilton is currently redeveloping its website with a goal of making it more user-friendly and appealing.
To that end, three design concepts are making the rounds and will be presented next week to the city’s Web Redevelopment Subcommittee.
Jay Adams, the city’s lead on the project, says they’re trying to achieve a design which “speaks to residents”.
He adds that the real challenge is to balance something that is dynamic and really exciting visually, with something that is really easy to use and is accessible to all residents including those with disabilities.
Subcommittee chair Russ Powers believes they will likely choose a “hybrid” of the three concepts.
He adds that improving the “image” of the website is one his three guiding priniciples, along with improved functionality and service delivery.
