As we head into the weekend, there are a number of Remembrance Day ceremonies that will be taking place across the city to honour and remember our veterans.
On Sunday morning there will be a parade and service at the John Foote V.C. Armouries and the Gore Park Cenotaph beginning at 10:15am.
There will also be a service at the Glanbrook Cenotaph, 4300 Binbrook Road at 2pm, the West Hamilton Cenotaph at 10:30am at 134 Emerson Street, and in Ancaster the 23 Hamilton Field Ambulance Parade will take place starting at the Village Green Plaza to St John’s Anglican Church beginning at 9:30am.
For Remembrance Day on Monday, the annual service downtown at the Gore Park cenotaph will begin at 10:45am. CHML’s Bill Kelly will be there broadcasting live from 9am – 12pm.
Services will be held at the other following locations:
Ancaster Old Town Hall at 10:30am.
Dundas Cenotaph at Dundas Community Centre, 10 Market Street at 10:30am.
Stoney Creek Cenotaph, King Street and Highway 8 at 10:45am.
Royal Canadian Legion in Waterdown, 79 Hamilton Street North at 10:45am.
The Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum, 9280 Airport Road in Mount Hope at 10:30am.
The Royal Candian Legion Branch 163, 435 Limeridge Road East at 10:30am.
Keep in mind there may be temporary road closures and detours to HSR transit in these areas.
