Today, as promised, I’ll tell you who’s going to win.
The Boatmen boast the best record in the East and they have a bevy of superstars, including Ricky Ray and Chad Owens.
Furthermore, Toronto is playing at home and they’re the defending Grey Cup champions.
They certainly have what it takes to win it all again.
The Ticats also field a crop of elite level players, namely Henry Burris and Andy Fantuz.
Hamilton has a head coach in Kent Austin who has won it all as a player and coach.
And the Ticats won the regular season series 2-1, which every Cat fan will say should have been 3-0.
Aside from talent and past history, I’m basing my pick on the intangibles of turnovers, execution and the fact that both teams bring out the best in each other.
When the dust settles on Sunday, I say the Ticats will have dispatched of the Argos 33-30.
I know what you’re saying, Zamp, you’re just a homer.
While a part of that might be true, I’m expecting a high scoring, rock ’em sock ’em game, and I just think the Tiger-Cats match up very well against Toronto.
And I certainly think Hamilton’s late season mojo, winners of 5 of their last 6, continues on Sunday.
