Rob Ford took over my radio show again yesterday by doing nothing more than opening his mouth in public again.
The man begs for privacy and to be left alone and yet cannot stop tipping the first domino to cause another crisis in his life.
Yesterday Ford reacted to more court documents recently released.
In those, alleged allegations of drinking and driving, more drug use, employee harassment, even hanging with an alleged prostitute or escort.
This was enough to snap the Mayor.
He plowed into a media scrum and reacted to a former staffer’s claims, he asked to have oral sex with her.
Through colourful language hardly fitting for a mayor, he replied, “I would never say that, I’m happily married. I’ve got more than enough to eat at home.”
He later held another press conference and apologized for his course language, saying he had drank and drove but denied the prostitution allegations saying it was a friend.
The whole time his wife was standing by his side, head bowed.
With this latest slow motion train wreck, If I was Rob Ford, I would be less concerned about voters reaction and more concerned about what my wife’s reaction is. There may be more on the line here than just his job.
I’m Scott Thompson.
