Hamilton police are intensifying their search for a man in a car who has been accosting high school girls on the mountain.
They are going over video surveillance from a plaza on Upper Gage at Beryl Street after the latest incident on Wednesday in which the teen was not only asked personal questions, the driver tried to touch her.
Police say the behaviour in the trio of incidents is disturbing.
Both Public and Catholic School Boards say two letters and a verbal warning have gone out to students in the mountain area where police believe the same man keeps surfacing.
Detective David Brady says he doesn’t want a city wide panic, but police are taking this seriously and doing all they can to identify the person responsible.
The suspect is described as black, 25 to 30 years old, about 6-feet tall, with a thin, muscular build.
He has black hair and a goatee, no accent and has been seen wearing blue jeans.
The car in question is a dark blue or black sedan.
