Have you come down from the high yet?
Two days after the Ticats ended the Argos season in the CFL’s Eastern Final, I still can’t believe Hamilton is going to the Grey Cup.
The euphoria is an intoxicating drug that is wearing off ever so slowly.
So this is what Rob Ford feels like.
All kidding aside, I spoke to Marwan Hage and Henry Burris on the Ticats Show Monday night on CHML.
Burris has a Grey Cup ring from 2008 with Calgary, while Hage is making his first trip to the big game in his 10 year career.
The Cats roster is comprised of some veterans and a lot of new CFL’ers, and they say no one is taking this opportunity for granted.
Players and coaches can get swept up in the Grey Cup hype this week, and come game time they are emotionally drained and have nothing left.
This week will test both the Cats and Riders mentally and the club that is more focused and better prepared will have an advantage on Sunday.
Many expect Saskatchewan to feel more pressure to perform in the Grey Cup because they’re at home.
I think there might be some truth to that, but the Riders have played in many big games over the years and I think they’ll be ready.
