The Fruitland Winona 20 year plan is going to be revamped.
The move follows a City of Hamilton planning meeting Tuesday that saw several area residents not happy with the document that lays the groundwork for new parks, schools, roads and housing over the next two decades in the area bounded by Fruitland Road, Fifty Road, Barton Street and Highway 8.
Some residents say it tears at the small town character of the neighbourhood.
The aim is to accommodate a projected population of 15,400 over the next 20 years, almost five times the current population.
The planning committee has tabled the plan until February 4th to give city planners and residents time to tweak the document.
