One more game, four more quarters, with everything on the line.
When the Ticats and Roughriders meet in Sunday’s 101st Grey Cup in Regina, it will mark the 4th time that these two storied franchises will meet for the CFL championship.
Hamilton beat Saskatchewan in 1967 and ’72, before the Riders won the cup in 1989.
Fast forward to 2013, Mosaic Stadium is the venue, and Riderville is going bonkers.
Saskatchewan has lost their last two appearances in the Grey Cup, in 2009 and 2010, and each time falling to Montreal, by a combined 4 points.
Hamilton hasn’t been to the big dance since they beat Calgary in 1999.
So what happens on Sunday?
Does the well run dry for the Ticats, or do they shock the Riders?
I just have a feeling that Hamilton is destined to win then Grey Cup this season.
They conquered the travel to and from Guelph and practices at McMaster, they battled a long list of injuries, and have been playing very well down the stretch.
Saskatchewan is favoured, and they should be, they’re playing in their own backyard.
But I think the Ticats spoil the party and ignite a frenzy in Steeltown.
Make the final 27-25 Hamilton.
