The Bulldogs snapped their win streak with a loss at Rochester.
Hamilton went into tonight game riding a four game win streak but the Americans picked up a 6-3 win on home ice.
Rochester opened the scoring in the first period when Kevin Porter scored his second of the season at 16:06. The assists going to Tardiff and Gillies.
After the first period it was a 1-0 lead for the home side.
The Amerks would score their second of the game just 2:55 into the second period as Jamie Tardif got a short handed breakaway and slid the puck past Dustin Tokarski.
Hamilton would cut the lead in half as Morgan Ellis scored a beauty from St. Pierre and Thomas at 11:15.
Rochester would restore that two goal lead with a goal from Rasmus Ristolainen scored his first of the season on the power play at 15:35.
After two period the Amerks led 3-1.
Right out of the dressing room Hamilton would again pull within one goal as Christian Thomas scored 53 seconds into the period.
Rochester would get that goal back at 6:40 on the power play. The Amerks fourth goal was scored by Kevin Porter, his second of the game.
The home team would make it 5-2 with a goal by Johan Larsson at 9:26 on the power play.
Hamilton would make it a two goal game again as captain Martin St. Pierre scored his fourth of the season on a two man advantage at 12:21. Beaulieu and Thomas picking up the assists.
The final goal was an empty netter for Rochester as Rasmus Ristolainen scored his second goal of the game.
Next up for the Bulldogs is a home game against the Toronto Marlies on Friday night at Copps Coliseum.
