A woman pulled from a burning house near Gage Park was taken to hospital just before noon today.
She’s said to be in critical condition after being revived by paramedics.
Flames erupted in the basement at 58 Gage Avenue South.
The house suffered extensive damage. Officials say it became so intense the flames started burning through the floorboards and up the walls.
Two occupants managed to get out, but firefighters had to rescue the woman who was in the basement, where the fire started.
A firefighter was also taken to hospital as a precaution.
