The Bulldogs snapped a two game losing skid with a 4-1 win over the Lake Erie Monsters at Copps Coliseum.
It took some time to get going in the first but Lake Erie opened the scoring at 17:42 when Paul Carey scored his 3rd of the season to make it a 1-0 game.
With less than a minute to go in the first Hamilton turned up the pressure. Joonas Nattinen scored with 57 seconds left from Schiestel and Blunden with the assists. Then just 18 seconds later the dogs would take the lead as Michael Blunden scored his 6th unassisted.
After the first period Hamilton held a 2-1 lead despite being outshot 11-5 by the Monsters.
The second period saw both teams get a couple power play chances but nobody could find the back of the net.
Hamilton added some insurance in the third period as Patrick Holland scored after missing the last 9 games with a lower body injury.
Holland would score his second of the game just a few minutes later to give the Dogs a 4-1 lead.
The Bulldogs next game is Friday night when they visit Lake Erie down in Cleveland.
