Hamilton Senator David Braley has resigned from the Senate.
A written statement from Braley’s office, and dated November.30th, advises that the Governor General has been notified of his resignation effective that date. He could have served for another three years but says it’s time to slow down.
The prominent 72 year old Hamilton businessman and philanthropist was appointed by Prime Minister Stephen Harper on May 20th, 2010.
Mayor Bratina says Braley was integral in helping secure Pan Am stadium funds and provided Hamilton with a needed voice in the senate.
