Hamilton’s Highland Secondary School is at it again.
The Dundas school has raised 162-thousand dollars for the CHML Christmas Tree of Hope since 1986 and is kicking off its annual campaign.
The school’s hockey team is doing its part during this season of giving.
It is helping an inner city hockey program called “Skate the Dream” learn how to better play the sport.
Coach Bob Waterhouse says funds raised from a staff versus students hockey game on December 16 will go towards the program as well.
Waterhouse says they plan to have volunteers at the “Skate the Dream”program for at least one of their three nights a week at Eastwood Arena on Burlington Street.
