The Hamilton Police Hate Crime Unit is probing a tagging incident in Westdale.
Investigators were called to the Churchill Park Lawn Bowling Club on Cline Avenue where graffiti was found on the front glass of the building, concrete shed and on the rear wall of the club house.
Police add that the graffiti was anti-Semitic in nature.
It has since been scrubbed away by city employees.
Meantime, an attempt to air mail marijuana has been intercepted at Hamilton’s airport.
Police say a Purolator employee became suspicious on Tuesday afternoon, after detecting a strong odour of pot coming from a package.
Further investigation revealed that the package contained three clear bags of approximately 590 grams of marihuana. The drugs were seized by police and the vice and drug unit continues to investigate.
