Nelson Mandela did many things for many people, inspiring even more.
That is evident in the out pouring of celebration for his life and the guest list for his funeral.
I think the biggest lesson learned, is that after spending the best years of his life in prison, 27 years, he held no grudge or hate for those responsible.
Instead he decided to put all his energy into change that would ultimately prove those people wrong on the world stage.
Canada was instrumental in supporting Mandela before many would. Including the U.S. and U.K, who at one point, were part of the world that branded him a terrorist.
Perhaps a terrorist for peace, would have been more fitting.
By the end of his 95 years everybody loved him and the work he accomplished, from prison to the presidency.
Ultimately, revenge isn’t needed when you instigate the change and ultimately defeat the challenge for all the world to celebrate.
If we want to pay this man the ultimate tribute in his memory, we must all commit to continue his work and spread his vision.
