The Toronto Marlies beat the Hamilton Bulldogs 4-1 Friday night at Copps Coliseum.
Louis Leblanc made it rain teddy bears at 11:01 of the second period during the annual Toy Toss night at Copps, but that was all the offense the ‘Dogs could muster.
Toronto’s Spencer Abbott, a Hamilton native, opened the scoring 11:08 into the first period.
Kory Nagy scored the first of three Toronto goals in a 3:11 second span during the second period when he potted his first goal as a Marlie 7:24 into the middle frame.
Less than two minutes later, Marlies defenceman T.J. Brennan scored on the power play to put Toronto ahead 3-0.
92 seconds later, Brad Ross gave the Marlies a 4-0 lead.
Leblanc scored his eighth goal of the season 26 second later, sending countless stuffed animals from Bulldogs fans down to the ice.
Robert Mayer made 20 saves in the loss while Drew MacIntyre stopped 28 shots.
