Target has announced that as many as 40-million card accounts may have been affected by data breach.
The American-based retailer says the accounts may have been impacted at its U-S stores between November 27th, and December 15th.
That could include shoppers from this area who went over the border for Black Friday shopping.
It says it immediately notified authorities and financial institutions once it became aware of the breach, and is teaming with a third-party forensics firm to investigate.
You should go over your debit and credit card statements and get in touch with you bank–just to be sure.
The retailer has more than 19-hundred stores in North America, including 124 in Canada.
