Good news for some of you who were dreading the drive home from work later today.
Environment Canada has ended a freezing rain warning for Hamilton and Brant County.
But the warning remains in effect for Burlington, Oakville and the GTA.
Ice pellets will be mixed in throughout the day, with possible ice build up of 5 mm or more in some places by tonight.
And that will make the drive home from work a slippery one in the areas that remain under the warning.
But Hamilton is not entirely out of the woods in terms of wintry weather.
Forecasters say a second and stronger system could bring a major ice storm to our region this weekend.
Environment Canada says icy rain is expected to turn into patchy freezing drizzle by tomorrow morning and an ice storm may also hit tomorrow night and into Sunday morning.
