Your kids get an early start to their Christmas vacation today but who you thank or blame depends on which team you’re on.
A lot think today is a P.D. day where teachers are doing some sort of teacher work beyond the students. Not true.
This is a day off with no pay. Remember Rae Days? Same thing but different premier. Except these are more ‘Wynne-fall Days’.
Something the teachers unions anxiously want you to know, so you blame someone else other than them.
In fact what’s happening is, this was all part of a bizarre negotiated deal Wynne did with the teachers union to undo what Dalton did, and we all know very little about.
In other words, the price the taxpayers pay for Dalton attempting to reel them in.
The unions wouldn’t take a pause when Dalton asked them (and you and I had too), and this is the deal they have had to suffer through as a result.
Do you feel sorry for them yet? Because that’s what the teachers unions are hoping.
The teachers lose a day’s pay for a day off, while your kids lost their entire year of extracurricular activities last year. Seem fair?
Either way it’s safe to say you as a tax payer, and your kids the students, figure in last in this equation.
What a surprise. When will we learn?
