Canada’s Brad Jacobs has won the men’s Olympic curling gold medal.

His rink from Sault Ste. Marie blasted Great Britain 9-3 in 8 ends in the final in Sochi, Russia.

It is the third straight Olympic gold for Canada in men’s curling following Kevin Martin’s perfect run at the 2010 Vancouver Games and Brad Gushue’s golden tournament in 2006 in Turin, Italy.

Jacobs’ victory comes a day after Canada’s Jennifer Jones won the women’s curling gold medal.

It marks the first time in history that Canada has won both curling gold medals in the same Olympics.
