The City of Hamilton is getting set to launch a summer long food truck pilot project tomorrow.
City staff will be holding an event at Bayfront Park featuring 15 food trucks in a bid to promote a new program that will allow vendors to buy daily permits to operate in the cities parks.
Andrew Grice, Manager of programs and policy for the city says based on the increasing popularity of food trucks the pilot project should be a successful one.
Grice says his staff are already handling a considerable amount of calls from vendors who are interested in participating.
The event runs from 11AM until 3PM with shuttle buses running from City Hall to Bayfront every half hour between 11AM and 2PM.
