Hamilton may not be done with the spectre of the City Motor Hotel, just yet.
96 year old Ted Dabrowski, who says he’s the owner, claims a year after Hamilton expropriated the infamous property, he has not received a dime.
Dabrowski is taking the city to the Ontario Municipal Board.
If the case is successful, it could cost the city as much as an extra 2 million dollars to finalize the expropriation with interest accumulating at a rate as high as 12 per cent a year.
The city says there are competing ownership claims and it’s something they can’t control.
