Hamilton, ON, Canada / AM900 CHML

Motorists have weighed in on what makes them tick on the roadways in Expedia’s 2014 Road Rage report.

Distracted driving was the number one reason to lay on the horn with 69 per cent of respondents saying talking and texting on the phone was their biggest annoyance.

Swerving, tailgating and general negligence while driving were also included as frequent points of frustration for drivers.

When it came to reacting to inconsiderate drivers Expedia found that 69 per cent have been flipped off by fellow motorists but only 17 per cent reported using the gesture themselves.
