Police warn about stolen medication

Hamilton Police have issued a warning following the theft of a potentially dangerous medication.

They are investigating the theft of a drug called “Fentanyl” from a pharmacy in Waterdown.

The Fentanyl was in the form of medicinal patches in doses of 50 and 100 mg.

Police warn the public that ingestion of Fentanyl in those doses could prove harmful and possibly fatal to anyone who has never previously been prescribed the drug.

Anyone with information about the stolen medication is asked to call the Division 3 Staff Sergeant’s office at (905) 546-3886.
